What if your intuition has been right about your pet all along?
You scoop the same familiar wet food into your cat’s bowl. This savory food is something she’s happily eaten for months. But today, she pauses. Sniffs. Then she walks away.
The next day, she does it again… leaving more behind than usual.
Before your mind even starts listing possibilities, you get a feeling in your gut that already knows this is unusual. You begin to wonder: Is she bored of the flavor? Is her stomach off? Did the texture change?
So you pay closer attention. You watch her posture, her appetite and the way she moves around the kitchen. You find yourself checking in with her more. You are sensing these little yet significant changes.
Your intuition is a powerful guide before you have the words for it.
The truth is: it’s always been there.
You Notice More Than You Realize
Most pet parents I meet are far more intuitive than they give themselves credit for. You notice shifts in routine, changes in energy, and the cues your animal uses to communicate long before you consciously interpret them.
Your pet doesn’t need to speak for you to feel when something isn’t quite right or when something is beautifully in balance.
You’re naturally attuned to their rhythms, moods and preferences. Even if you don’t realize it, you’re already responding intuitively.
Everyday Intuitive Lessons
Take something as simple as a daily walk. Your dog might move with an easy rhythm most of the time, but you can sense when something in the environment unsettles him.
With this new or unexpected change, his body stiffens and you feel his breath shift to a quicker pattern. You feel all of this before you fully process it.
With the next walk, you decide to start talking to him softly. You let your voice be a steady anchor. Over time, he trusts the world a little more because he trusts you. His calm grows through your calm. That is your intuition in action.
You Sense There’s a Message…
Sometimes your animal does something you can’t fully explain, yet something inside you feels the meaning.
Maybe the house is full and the energy is swirling. There’s overlapping conversations, dinner cooking and movement everywhere. Your dog keeps nudging you toward a different space in your home. At first, you assume she wants a treat or attention. But the way she persists and does this at intentional times makes you pause. Even if you can’t name it yet, you sense she’s trying to communicate something important.
That inner awareness is connection. That pull in your chest or feeling in your stomach — that’s intuition.
A Dog Shared This Wisdom in Our Session
Boudica

In a recent live session, I connected with a dog named Boudica who often barked and led her person toward the laundry room. Her pet mom mentioned that the laundry room is where they keep pet supplies, food and toys. She assumed Boudica wanted something from there.
In my gut, I could sense that Boudica did this at very specific moments. When I asked about it, her pet mom immediately said, “Yes… it does.”
As we tuned into Boudica, the energy beneath the behavior became clear. She’s highly sensitive to the emotional currents in the home. Boudica notices the volume, tension and the changes in everyone’s mood.
She notices when conversations become animated or the atmosphere in the kitchen gets intense. She absorbs these fluctuations and feels responsible for helping regulate them.
Her barking and leading her person to the laundry room wasn’t about treats or toys at all. It was her way of gently redirecting the family’s energy — from overwhelm back into calm.
She knows that moving into that quieter space and away from all the noise can shift the energy for everyone. In her own way, this is how she keeps the peace in her home.
Boudica’s mom had already sensed these things, and hearing them reflected back was a reassuring confirmation of her intuition.
Your Intuition Is Already Strong
One of the threads weaving through every session I’ve had recently is this:
You already know your animal better than anyone.
You know their rhythms, moods, and patterns. You know your pet’s way of asking for connection, space or reassurance.
You feel their needs long before you can articulate them.
Keep listening to your intuition with your pet.
Your relationship with your animal is a constant energetic conversation. Even when you aren’t consciously trying, you’re sensing the little shifts in their energy. You notice how they ask for comfort, attention, space, or reassurance. You aren’t imagining these things—you’re responding to them. The intuitive connection with your animal has been growing naturally through all the love and every shared moment you’ve had together.
When pet parents tell me, “This confirms what I’ve been feeling,” it’s a reminder of how they already know their animals. My role is simply to help translate or affirm what’s been whispering inside them all along. Your animal knows you, trusts you, and communicates with you every single day.
So if you’ve ever wondered whether what you’re sensing is real, the answer is yes. Your intuition is already working beautifully.
Have you ever sensed something from your pet before you could explain it?

I’ll leave you with a few words from Boudica’s mom, her words captures the heart of what trusting your intuition with your animals can feel like:
“Angela did an amazing job communicating with our pets - a cat and a dog. It felt very reassuring to know that what we were feeding them and doing for them was on target, along with some tantalizing insights into their personalities and how we could support them even better. I feel a closer connection to my pets as a result of this session, and more confident in their care. Angela is a truly compassionate and very sweet person, in addition to being a skillful animal communicator.”
